  • RCSA Team (B.E Project group-1& 6) along with one team of TE students (1student from EXTC, MECH, COMP, IT dept each) have registered for a prestigious International competition, e-YRC2020, conducted and organized by e-yantra IIT Bombay under the guidance of Prof. Yogesh Gholap. The competition includes the design and simulation of robots on innovative robotic simulators (ROS platform) and is managed completely online.

  • The achivement details of Team Tachyon , DBIT Official team for Robocon-2020 are mentioned hereby: The team is lead by Mr. Arnold Sequeira, B.E EXTC Student, along with around 20/25 stuents from all across the departments.
    1) The team have secured 3rd best score (98/100) in stage-1 in National level competion, leaving behind quite a few leading IIT's and NIT's.
    2) The team have secured 1'st rank in Innovex.
    3) Also teams have published two papers in International Journals and Conferences.(This is done during the Covid-19 pandemic situation).
    4) The students have raised amount around INR 1.5 Lacs in sponcership.
    5) The sponsership activity lead to quite few internships and job opprtunites from core industries.
  • Participation in Robocon-2020: A team of 35 students from Electronics & Telecommunications, Mechanical & Computer Engineering has been selected to take part in International Competition Robocon-2020 organized by Asia Broadcasting Union (ABU) in collaboration with Doordarshan India.
  • Participation in CANSat 2020: A team of 8-10 students from Electronics & Telecommunications, Mechanical & Computer Engineering has been selected to take part in International Competition CANSat-2020 organized by American Astronautical Society (AAS) in collaboration with NASA.
  • Participation in 14th Intercollegiate/Institute/Department Avishkar Research Convention 2020 (District Zone Level Research Project Competition)organized by the University of Mumbai: The research project “Televoting System for Rural Development using VSAT” by Brayan Dialle, Kevin D'Souza, Ryan Fernandes was selected for participation in District Zone.
  • Mr. Saurabh Chaubey, Ms. Ashita Serrao, Ms. Srishti Singh, Mr. Bhushan Kolhe, Mr. Harshal Rathod, and Mr. Cromwell Mendes were the Quarterfinalists in AICTE, DST and Texas Instruments India Innovation Challenge Design Contest 2019, anchored by IIM, Bangalore.

  • Madhura Shinde won the 1st prize in Poster Presentation Competition on 'Trends of 5G Networks' organized by IEEE-DBIT MTTS Student Chapter at DBIT on April 09, 2019.
  • Vivek Vishwanath was the Incubation Head , Entrepreneurship Cell ,DBIT, Alumni Co-ordinator , DBIT Student CouncilEvents Co-ordinator , Colosseum 2019. He represented the college at numerous Drama competitions as part of the drama club. He was called as a judge for the prelims of K.J Somaiya Debate Competition. He won the 1st Prize in the Poster Presentation competition organised by IEEE-DBIT.
